They close my checking account because I had 0 dollars in it. Hell they could have least sent me a warning before they closed it. I don't even feel like reopening it. What's a good bank that gives free checking.
Is it right for WACHOVIA to close my checking account without telling me?
its written into the terms of the account that if it stays at a zero balance for a certain period of time with no activity they can close the account. In the future keep at least some change in it to prevent it from closing.
Reply:All banks will close an account that has a zero balance.
Bank locally where you can develop a relationship with the personnel and receive some consideration and not be surprised in the future.
Reply:It may not be right, but they have the right to do it.
Reply:Any bank will close an account with no money in it. Don't you know that?
