How do I delete my yahoo account and yahoo answers account?

I want to get rid if this account as I do not use it anymore.I also do not use my yahoo email either and I want to delete it.How do I delete it?

Reply:If you are talking about your Yahoo answers account, you can not delete that one. The best you can do is to go into your profile and erase or change the information in it.


Erase all avatar information, and blank out your avatar to the grey silhouette.


Delete or change all your info. Close any connections to your 360, and E-mail.


Check that your questions and/or answers are private. Delete your open questions and answers.


Make sure you do not have public connections, no IM or mail open.


Delete any contacts and fans. To delete fans: block, then remove block.


Then just leave it.


First, make very sure that is what you want to do, if you delete the account you can never get it back, or use that ID name, either.


Any other yahoo programs associated with your mail account will also be deleted.

Click on the help at the upper right corner of the screen from the account you want to delete.

Your yahoo account comes as a package and you can only delete the whole package that includes the following:





* Yahoo answers. (Your questions and answers will remain).


* Flickr.


* Yahoo Mail.


* Yahoo notepad.


* My Yahoo.


* Any other yahoo program that needs your Yahoo ID and password.





Once a yahoo account is deleted it and its contents cannot be recovered.

You can’t fully delete your Q%26amp;A account even if you delete your yahoo account your Q%26amp;A will stay in yahoo archive available for searching and browsing. But you can make it invisible with the following steps.


► Blank out your avatar to the grey silhouette.


► Change your nickname or just leave it blank.


► Close any links to your 360, and email.


► Delete your open questions and answers.


► Set your Network and Q%26amp;A to private.


► Delete your contacts and fans. To delete fans block then unblock.


Then just leave it. After you've applied the alterations no search will find your Q%26amp;A,s. You can then close that yahoo account and open a new one if you want.
