What's the best way to download your tax brokerage account?

you know the 1099 statement for the year. And then transfer it to your tax program?I am kind of confused , Help.
What's the best way to download your tax brokerage account?
You should be able to download your brokerage statement from the brokerage company website, if you have an online account.





However, unless you can download it in a very specific file format, and your tax program has the ability to read that file, you are not likely to be able to import the information.





You will most likely have to manually enter the information into your tax program, finding the area they list brokerage transactions. (I'd suggest looking under Income, or Investment income sections.)
