Can you change an unlocked cingular phone to an alltel account?

I just recently unlocked my cingular phone and I was going to change over to alltel. Can i do that? Or has anybody done that before?

A Cingular phone will not work with a alltel account. Cingular uses the gsm network and alltel uses the cdma network. They are both different networks and are not compatible with each other. Cingular phones uses a sim card to register to the network, alltel phones do not use sim cards.





Put it this way, a xbox will only play xbox games- it will not play ps3 games.
