What is an available balance and how much and how often does HSBC transfer/send money into my account?

I am worried about this because I am poor. I currently have 拢67.41 and my available balance is 拢2.80.

How often do they transfer or send money as my available balance to my account and how much?

HSBC use a live system.

Your available balance will be 拢2.80, as you have either have:-

DD/SO's that are due to leave your account in the next few days

Switch/meastro payments to that are still being processed
Reply:I have heard dreadful stories about HSBC that they take people's money out of their accounts without notification. There's a man that goes around our local town centre in his car and it is smothered in lettering saying that HSBC are thieves and liars. Go and get a mini statement and if there is anything on there that you don't understand then ask to see a supervisor. Also, you might want to change your bank.
Reply:Your available balance is how much cash you can withdraw - in your case 拢2.80.

There's no way any of us can know how often money goes into your account - you should know who pays you and when.

If you're really skint perhaps you could ask them for an overdraft.
Reply:what it means is you've got 67.41 but must have an uncleared transaction against it, ie you've got a direct debit going out but hasn't gone yet.

call the bank and ask them to walk through the transactions with you.

your available funds will increase when you pay money in.

your available funds decrease when you take money out.
