I recently got a new bank account and haven't received a debit or credit card yet. Can i charge my account somehow?

nope. Everything has to be done by credit card. If you live in the US I think you can use the itunes gift cards for iphone apps, but in Canada you can't. Either way you'll need a credit card to set up an itunes account. You could set up a friend's credit card for now and just pay them back until you get one from your bank.
